Banana Peanut Butter Gourmet Dog Cookies
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 cut chopped unsalted peanuts (or grind in food processor)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups pureed banana (good use for over ripe bananas)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- water
To make natural dog treats, preheat oven to 325˚F. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Make a well in the center. Blend egg, oil, banana and vanilla together. Add water, one teaspoon at a time as needed to form a thick dough. Knead home made dog treats by hand on table until thoroughly mixed. Flatten or roll to one inch thickness. Bake 30 - 40 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes. Slice into 1/2" - 3/4" strips. Place on baking sheet again and bake for about 20 minutes more until golden brown. Cool.
