Pet friendly accommodations often have rules of etiquette that pet lovers should follow.  This will insure that pet friendly motels and hotels continue to be available to pet lovers who wish to travel with their pets.  For example always keep your dog on a leash in public, and avoid leaving a dog alone in a hotel room.  Clean up after your pet, doggie bags are usually available.  Don't try to sneak into a hotel with your pet friend.  Be up front with the hotel management and you will have a rewarding experience.  Above all remember that your pet will be in strange surroundings with strangers and needs to be attended to at all times.  For the sake of your pet who cannot choose for itself, consider your pet's needs above your own.
